Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington has been a journalist, TV personality writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for more than ten years. She also is the owner of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. Originating from Greece she relocated to England when she was 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The first graduate non-UK to become the president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. Being a conservative syndicated blog following her graduation, she was able to be a voice of the Huffington Post. The fame of Arianna led to the recruitment of a number of prominent contributors to share their views on current events political, culture and politics. Arianna's celebrity status was first noticed in 2003 when she declared herself an independent candidate for the California recall election to succeed Governor Davis. Additionally she also led the Detroit Project for fuel-efficient cars. Forbes listed her 12th in their list of the Top Influential Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post in their Top 100 list in 2010. AOL, Inc. appointed her President of their media company in 2011, after they purchased The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post was joined by the other AOL brands such as Engadget AOLmusic Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is a daughter born to Konstantinos an advisor to management and a journalist. Though she shared a close relationship with both her father and mother but it was their connection that helped shape her. Even as a young girl she demonstrated leadership skills which she is still renowned for. At 16 years of age she relocated into the United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. In her time at college, she joined the college debating group Cambridge Union where she became the third foreign, and first female president. In 1972, she earned an advanced degree in Economics. Following her graduation, she was employed as a columnist critic, and a television host. She also appeared alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started making books with his editorial assistance.
