Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, born in Wellington,) is an Canadian actress. Born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington Paquin began her acting debut portraying Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she was awarded an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 11, and was the 2nd youngest recipient in Oscar history. Anna Paquin is full Anna Helene Paquin born on the 24th of July, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian actor and New Zealander who at the age of a youngster, was awarded an Academy Award in 1993 for the best supporting actress. Paquin moved to New Zealand from Canada as an infant and was raised in the country. When she responded to a request for open auditions at the age of nine years old, with no previous experience in acting the actress was chosen for Flora McGrath's part. Flora is the daughter of the Scottish pianist who was mute. The couple relocated into New Zealand during the middle of the 19th century in order to arrange a marriage. When she moved into the United States, she became a teenager. Paquin played a minor role in the film's title role when she was just a young girl on Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) as well as an important role in the film Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin had a small role in the 1997 TV movie adaption to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. Also, she played Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). The role she played was for teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). Also, she played the role of a teen girl named Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
