Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek is a Mexican-American actor who was born to Lebanese-Spanish parents. She came from a family of a Mexican Roman Catholic wealthy family. In her early years she became inspired to pursue a career in acting after watching the movie "Willy Woonka & The Chocolate Factory.' When she attended Mexico City's "Universidad Latinamericana," she felt prepared to enter the film industry. Her first job as an actress came in the Mexican film telenovela, "Teresa.' Following her move to Hollywood, she was cast as the role of Antonio Banderas in the movie 'Desperado.' The film was followed by other roles, including "Fools Rush in" and Wild Wild West.' In 'Once Upon an Time in Mexico,' she reprised the role of the character 'Desperado. The actress later established her own production company, Ventanarosa. The film that she first produced was the Mexican movie 'El Coronel No Dos Tienes Quien Escriba,' which is Mexico's entry into the Oscars in the Best Foreign Film category. Also, she was the co-producer of 'Ugly.' She received a nomination for Outstanding Guest actress (Comedy Series) in the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards. The actress also endorses brands including 'Avon' as well as Revlon', has her own cosmetics line products for hair care and skincare under the brand name Nuance. She's a strong supporter of the campaign to fund vaccines to treat maternal and neonatal Tetanus.
