She is famous for her performance as Willie Scott, an American nightclub performer and singer in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), which was directed by her eventual husband Steven Spielberg. She has appeared in Dreamscape (1984), Power(1986), SpaceCamp(1986), Black Rain (1989), Love Affair (94), Just Cause (1995) and The Love Letter (1999). Capshaw is a portrait artist who has been featured in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw, was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth Texas. She is the daughter of Beverley Sue Simon (nee Simon), who was a beauty professional and travel agent as well as Edwin Leon Nail, an employee at the airline. [4] She was five years old when she moved to St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw graduated from the University of Missouri with a education degree. She was also a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She was the special education instructor at Southern Boone High School Ashland, Missouri and Rock Bridge High School Columbia, Missouri.
